Larger growths and malignant tumours are surgically removed using state-of-the-art plastic techniques.<\/p>\n<p>The removed malignant skin lesion is analysed in the lab with a frozen section. During the surgery itself, the lab examines the cut edges of the removed lesion. If tumour cells are found in these edges, the surgeon has to cut further until the lesion is removed completely. Indeed, many malignant skin tumours (baso, spino, epithelioma) have outliers, which are invisible to the naked eye. This innovative MOHS technique thus guarantees complete removal of the skin cancer.
