This causes excess and sagging skin on the inner thighs. Exercising can make the thighs look firmer again, but it will not improve the sagging skin. With a thigh lift, the skin on the thighs can be re-tightened. Moreover, if the thighs are too thick, liposculpture can also be performed at the same time.<\/p>\n<h2>\n\t\t\tHow does a thigh lift happen?\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>The excess skin that can be grasped between thumb and forefinger is removed. The skin is then nicely stretched and lifted upwards against gravity. Specifically, the scar runs from the groin crease, between the pubic hairs to the buttock crease and on the inner side of the thighs. Suturing is done subcutaneously, after which the wound seam is glued. The scar is sometimes red and hard in the first few months. But it fades and softens greatly in the following year. The plastic surgeon will give you advice to speed up this natural maturation process. There are no drains. This procedure causes little pain. Any discomfort in the first 24 hours will be controlled with the classic painkillers paracetamol and ibuprofen.In the first two weeks, sitting and\/or walking may be difficult because the skin is so tightened. The ankles may be temporarily a bit swollen. You may also experience some bruising at first.You will be unable to work for about half a week. After a week you will come for a check-up and the bandage will be renewed.
