Currently, the 'vertical scar technique' is the standard. The former anchor-shaped scar is reduced to just a vertical scar. The scar around the nipple does not change. In this case, daily wound care with isobetadine ointment is necessary. With or without these complications, the final aesthetic result is just as good.
