Treatment
The inner labia are also known as labia minora. They stick out a bit more, or droop a bit more than the outer or major labia. This is normal. The degree of sagging varies greatly individually. Also, one side's labia is different from the other. Small labia, however, can be so long that they bother when cycling or exercising. They can also be visible when wearing tight clothes or bikini. This problem can make women feel insecure in a sexual relationship. There is still a lot of embarrassment to talk about. However, a simple surgery can easily solve this problem.
How does a labia reduction happen?
The excess part of the labia is surgically removed. You decide the degree of correction. The clitoris and its engorgement remain intact. Sensitivity in the erogenous zone therefore does not change.

Important information
Scar
The wound is sutured subcutaneously. This procedure therefore leaves no marks.
Possible risks
It is a safe procedure. Bleeding is avoided by precise laser coagulation of bleeding capillaries and by the special effect of local anaesthesia.
Despite the difficult hygiene at this site, infection almost never occurs. After surgery, the wound suture should be well disinfected (sit down baths and isobetadine)
Recovery
After the procedure, you will stay in the clinic for another hour. Afterwards, you will be allowed to go home. You can walk, although this will be inconvenient for the first two days due to the swelling. After the local anaesthetic has worn off, you can relieve the painful swelling with painkillers (a combination of ibuprofen and paracetamol). For your comfort, it is best to wear loose-fitting wide briefs, into which you place a sanitary pad. You can disinfect the wound seam yourself with isobetadine twice a day.
Anaesthetic
With the refinement of surgical technique and strong advances in anaesthesia in recent years, a labia correction is performed under light sedation and local anaesthesia. After the procedure, you will feel much fitter as a result. An overnight stay in hospital is therefore not necessary.
Precautions
All our procedures are performed in the safest conditions by the plastic surgeon.
Although a labia correction is usually done under local anaesthetic, you are still continuously monitored (automatic, repeated blood pressure readings, constant oxygen saturation readings, electrocardiogram) by the surgeon during the procedure. Only this procedure guarantees the highest possible safety for you as a patient.
Local anaesthesia not only ensures a pain-free procedure, but also minimal blood loss and bruising.
If you are taking blood-thinning medications, please inform your plastic surgeon in advance (e.g. acetylsalicylic acid, asaflow, cardioaspirin, dipiridamole, plavix, sintrom, marevan and others).
After your procedure, you will be given your plastic surgeon's personal mobile phone number so that you feel safe.
